Do I have to be a Quaker to stay at Glenthorne?
No. The Guest House and the courses are open to all. The Quaker ethos is discernible in the peaceful atmosphere and the simple but comfortable accommodation.
Are children welcome?
Yes, Glenthorne welcomes guests of all ages. Those responsible for small children should be aware that the evening meal is at a set time of 7.00 pm
Do you serve alcohol?
Yes we have a table licence; a selection of wines and beers can be purchased in the dining room
Are hair driers available?
Yes, there are hair driers in all the bedrooms.
Is it possible to dry wet walking gear?
Yes. There is a drying room. Ask at Reception.
Is internet access available?
Yes in most areas of the house and in Bankside & The Bothay. Apply at Reception for the password.
Is parking a problem?
No, there is a large car-park. Residents’ vehicles may be left there when they are out walking
Can most diets be catered for?
Yes. There is always a vegetarian option. Gluten-free and vegan options are usually available but prior notification should be given when booking
